Symptom Note & Export (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Process

• Symptom records you enter (text notes, severity, body part, dates)
• Images you choose or capture for symptom records
• Export history and quota-related usage data
• In-app purchase status (such as one-time export credits or subscription entitlement)

2. How We Use Information

• Provide core app features (recording, editing, timeline display)
• Generate and preview/export PDF reports
• Manage free quota and purchased export access
• Restore purchase entitlements through Apple services

3. Data Storage

By default, your symptom records are stored locally on your device. We do not sell your personal data.

If cloud features are added in future versions, this policy will be updated before those features are enabled.

4. Photos and Camera Access

The App requests camera/photo library permissions only to let you:

• Take symptom photos
• Select existing photos for records
• Include photos in PDF export

You can deny or revoke these permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

5. In-App Purchases

Payments are processed by Apple App Store, not by us directly. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Purchase and subscription status may be read from Apple APIs to unlock features and support restore purchases.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your symptom record content with third parties for advertising. We may rely on Apple platform services required to operate purchases and app distribution.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your local records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, or uninstall the App. If you uninstall the App, local data may be removed by the operating system.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended to collect personal data from children without guardian involvement. If you believe inappropriate data has been provided, contact us and we will assist.

9. Medical Disclaimer

The App is for record-keeping only. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care advice.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective date” above.
